Seren's Classic Gluten Free Brownie
First impressions were that this generously-sized brownie had a crisp top and a fudgy consistency. It has a rich chocolate aroma. The contrast between the crunchy crust, fudgy centre and chocolate chunks was pleasing in the mouth. The intense chocolate used in this brownie cut through the sweetness. This brownie's contrasting crust and soft centre were of stand out quality, along with its flavour and lightness. We felt a touch of salt might have lifted this brownie a touch. This brownie would appeal to people looking for gluten-free products and non-coeliacs alike.
We found the brownie appealing with the crusty top contrasting with the fudgy texture that coated the palate, releasing the deep chocolate notes. The sweetness levels were perfect and allowed the rich chocolate notes to sing. The crunch from the top added wonderful interest and a gentle saltiness coated the palate. Wonderful and moreish.
The appearance does have a lovely crisp top and a dense fudgy middle. The flavour is rich, buttery, creamy and full-on chocolatey. The only hint of GF is the slightly grainy texture - but we don't mind that as the flavour is so delicious. Delightful at all levels. Harmonious and exquisite.
This same brownie also won a coveted Gold in the prestigious Free From Awards and is a 2024 Finalist in The Great British Food Awards.

Seren's Coffee Caramel Brownie
It's a jolly good brownie. We enjoyed its no-frills honesty and its bang-on texture; crisp on top, some substance to the edges and a good, gooey centre.
Attractive looking, good sized brownies with a lovely crisp crust. The crumb was smooth, rich and gooey which worked well with the crisp crust. The flavours were well balanced, but we wonder whether another sprinkle of sea salt would lift the overall flavour profile

Seren's Decadent Chocolate Brownie
These brownies have a wonderful meringuey layer on the top and a delightfully dense gooey texture in the middle. We like the rich chocolate flavour and the balanced sweetness. It's great that they're not too sweet. They feels luxurious in the mouth and there is a dark hint of bitterness on the finish which rounds off the flavour journey nicely.
A rich and indulgent looking brownie. The crunch on the top was enjoyed and needed as the rest of the brownie is fudgy . You feel this is a homemade small batch brownie- a real treat. The coffee was not identified. The chocolate was fabulous - more coffee please!
